This food is delicious. I had pancakes, a hash, and eggs. The service was amazing. The staff was warm, friendly, and welcoming. They are attentive to the needs of their customers and checked up on us to make sure we had napkins and enough water. The vibes are one of one. It's an old school styled colorful diner. The inside is very colorful and the ambiance is loud, playful, happy, colorful, and bright. You also get a small rubber duck after the meal. Mine has a cowboy hat and we named him cowboy sugar duck. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking to have a good a good brunch or breakfast!
Sugar n' Spice is always good. It's clean and cozy. The wait time is always short. It's nice that even when they're busy they take your name and you can wait outside in the sun. They call your name over a speaker so you know you won't get missed. The service is always great. Shawn in the back room served us today and she was so nice. She chatted for a minute but didn't keep us waiting. Our coffee was full and the food was great. I had the corned beef hash while my husband had the biscuits and gravy. So good! We split a half stack of pancakes and it was the perfect Sunday indulgence to add on. It's nice to go somewhere so homey but that is so well maintained and clean. We'll keep coming back! A Cincinnati classic for a reason!! As a pancake connoisseur, theirs are incredible. Perfect with a side of goetta. Others at our table enjoyed their meal, and I enjoyed stealing home fries from my husband. And I guess who doesn't love getting a rubber duck with your meal?
The original is the best! After long last, the original has reopened and my fears abated. The new owners haven't ruined the original. OTR Sugar and Spice pales in comparison. Bad service and an attitude of entitlement among the staff and customers. We are truly grateful that the original didn't catch that, dare I say disease, after its remodel. Great food, great value, and great service. What more could one ask for?
First time at Sugar n' Spice and it was fantastic. Might be my new favorite breakfast spot in the city. The food was delicious and arrived to the table quickly. Prices were even better. Spent $31 total. Lots of parking. Clean place. Delightful service. A tell this place uses REAL butter. Started with the half order of blueberry pancakes. They're thin pancakes. Not too sweet. I think pancakes for the table are a must order. The breakfast burrito was so good. Another must order. Got it with bacon. Love the house made salsa. Crispy tortilla. The breakfast sandwich was great. I would love to know where they get the English muffin from. I do wish they used one big sausage patty instead of two smaller ones. But the sausage tasted great. Hash browns are top notch but I wish they were a little bit crispier.
Great atmosphere. Warm welcome. Service needs a little help. Perhaps a new waitress. Very sweet, but slow to check on us. Try to make it easy for her after we placed our order to bring us her check, but of course she forgot. My breakfast special made perfect per my specifications.
